WD Elements desktop not reading from my macbook

Hello, I have my WD Elements since a month or so. Today I was expoting a video and I left it on while I left home because it was still working. When I come back home there was no sign of the WD on my MacBook pro 13’ (late 2011).

I unplugin and plugin again but nothing. I shut down the system and nothing change.

The thing is that when I connect the usb cable to my computer the hard drive switch it on and upparently starts working, but not sign from my computer, neither from my utility disk.

What I should do?
