WD Diagnostic tools fails to run quick and extended test on my WD20EARS

I get the message

“06-Quick Test on drive 2 did not complete! Status code = 07 (Failed read test element), Failure Checkpoint = 97 (Unknown Test) SMART self-test did not complete on drive 2!”

SMART also warns me that Current Sector Count is 2. Seek Error Rate is 1 and RAW Error rate is also 1.

Should i make a warranty on this drive?

Unfortunately the hard drive appear to be faulty, click on the following link for the steps to replace it.

That i will do. Luckily i had it replaced by the Green 3 and 4tb before it got faulty. My other WD20EARS is working well though so no worries there. :slight_smile:
