WDC WD20EARS-00MVWB051.0 SMART fail

Hi i got this drive (WDC WD20EARS-00MVWB051.0) in a raid configuration. for several weeks i get an email from the raid application telling me the disk gives a read failure. but it seems to be rather fine.

SMART information is ‘NORMAL’.

should i send this drive in RMA or are there other things i can try to ‘fix’ this?

Kind regards,

Patrick

Check if you get the same results with the DLG test.

I did the quick test and it fails:

Status code = 07

Failure checkpoint = 97

What does this mean?

I have the same error when running the quick test. I would do a extended test, but it is just too long. I also checked on HD sentinel and I already have 75+ weak sectors and constantly gets more every 10-15 mins or so when on. The health percentage also keeps dropping at a steady rate. Can I RMA this?
