I have a WD blue that we kept for an archive for legal reasons and now need. The drive spins up and then shutsdown. This worked last week. There a firmware upgrade for it.

At the moment there’s no firmware updates for this internal drive.
As a recommendation, test the unit on a different PC and if possible using a different cables.
