I am having this issues with a WD Blue HD. No warranty on this HD anymore, but the issue is that when I plug it in via sata it wont let me boot into windows or linux. If I put it into my external enclosure and plug it in USB 3.0 it won’t show up in Disk Managment and under Device Manager its labeled as Disk Drive. It also fails to install any drivers once I plug it in.
Any ideas what I should do? I spent the last 2 days researching how to fix it. No luck. Was able to create another HD for the XB1 though.

Have you tried connecting the drive internally on a desktop pc? If not please try that. Also try downloading the WD DLG tool to see if you can see the drive.
Yes, once I connect it via a sata cable for internal connection it will not boot up my windows OS on my primary drive. Yes I changed the boot order in Bios. I will give the WD DLG tool a try but I doubt it’ll work if my PC continues to mess up.
