New BLUE WD 1TB HDD not being seen when install new window 7pro OS

I’ve had this issue on 3 brand new BLUE WD 1TB HDD not being seen by the OS when trying to install.  It is being seen in the bios.  I’m at my wits end here.  The hd in my rig went out and so I bought this to replace, never had such an issue swapping out a hard drive and install a os to it.  Any help would be most appreciated.

Do you have another SATA port you can use, even if you have to swap a DVD-CD drive? Do you have another cable?

I bought an eternal HD to replace on older 500 gb WD which worked great for 5 years. This one is the 3G red…I feel like I’m on Mars-no support, OS 10.10.5 does not read it although the box says it’s good for MAC. Better to just buy Apple, pay extra and not waste time with this **bleep**!
