WD Backup not starting

I recently purchased the latest 4 TB My Passport and installed WD Discovery including Back Up, Security and Drive Utilities. I cannot get Back Up to start either from the desktop icon or from within WD Discovery in the task bar but the other two apps work fine. I have tried uninstalling all the WD apps and reinstalling them and restarting my laptop but it didn’t work.

I have used WD hdd’s for years and never had an issue using the back up app so not sure what’s going on. Any advice much appreciated

If your drive does not contain any data then you can try formatting the drive and troubleshoot the process, also check for the updates of drive’s driver.

Just to clarify, the app is simply not opening from my laptop there is no issue with the drive itself
