I cannot access the data on this drive.
Can I remove the drive out of the enclosure and plug into desktop ?
Do I need any software ?
If not, do I need any software to run the drive through the usb from my laptop ?

Please note that removing the drive from the enclosure will void the warranty and is not supported by WD.
Have you tried contacting WD Support to see what can be done?
