I purchased a MyBook 3.0 on Feb 5, 2012 from BestBuy. The USB 3 connector on the back of the unit has broken off. I tried getting waranty support from WD but WD tells me the warranty has expired at the end of Feb 2012. This product has a 2 year warranty. How do I get WD to change the warranty date to reflect the full 2 years from purchase? I have my receipts for proof of purchase date.
You need to contact WD directly via email or by phone. They will be able to update the warranty from date of purchase.
