V5.09.115: indexing back to 14% from 79%

Hello everyone,

I got a My Cloud EX2 Ultra 8TB last week. I did a “clean” install of OS5. Factory setting was with OS3. It got updated to OS5 (v.5.08) and I did a factory restore.

I then uploaded my older data. Nearly 1,3 TB is being used so far.

Indexing has been slow and I was getting to 80% after 5 days…

But after updating to v5.09 indexing is back to 14%, after 1 hour of uptime. How relevant is this?

FYI, the main cloud access account was also logged out after updating.

dang. . . . .sounds like they still have not straightened out Indexing yet.

(but at least they made transcoding optional on the high end units. I might make them usable again)

yep, they havent solved indexing, its a pain…

Follow up.
Was 98% this morning.
99% now…

As a firmware update does a re-boot ( which can restart indexing ? ) might need to warn people to let it finish before doing a firmware update.

good time to do a backup while waiting. as there is a new USB backup app.
