I’m trying to use my WD My Passport Ultra as a external hard drive (not a back-up hard drive). In my attempts to get this to work, I went into Disc Utility on my Mac and hit “Erase”. An error occurred, and now the hard drive does not show up in Finder. It still shows up in Disc Utility, but whenever I plug it in to the computer, I get a message that says “The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer.”
I’ve attempted First Aid in Disc Utility, and it says successful, but the problem persists. Any suggestions for what I should try next?
