User name and password?

Hi there

Im new to the community and have just setup my new wdtv live media player and upgraded to the latest firmware.

My issue is I’m being asked for a user name and password to access my shared network folders. I don’t even know what this would be or where to retrive this info as its the first time I’m sharing them. Currently on the adapter it shows 

User name: anonymous

Password: a bunch of stars

Any ideas?

That’s the default. 

If your shares are setup to allow free access without password, the default should work.
