Upgrade to 2.0 issue

So i took the new update to WD smartware 2.0 and was suprised to find that it began to perform a complete new backup. Questions,

  1. Was this supposed to happen? (it seems to be starting from scratch and could take hours!)

  2. I seem to have 187GB out of 1TB in use but i cannot find anywhere near enough to account for it, I tried going to computer and clicking on the drive to manually view the files. no luck. Any ideas where it came from?

  3. The big question, i upgraded because i was having a massive problem whereby my external HDD couldn’t locate any of the files it had copied. Attempt to manually copy and paste necessary files resulted in the “item not found issue”. The when i try and create a new folder on my WD passport it says cannot create new folder. Same for delete copy and paste anything really. Btw i have full permissions and the device is on the same format NFTS as is my computer.

I tried to troubleshoot these issues online but it seems no one is asking my questions.

Hi, any backup that Smartware makes, is going to be inside the smartware.swstor folder. If you explore this folder manually, you should be able to see all of your files. From the Smartware interface you can also see the backups that you can retrieve. Check the link below for the steps.
