Has anyone got a guide on how to update the vanilla transmission version installed from 2.77 to 2.84 (latest). I’ve found threads for updating this on MyCloud devices but not EX and DL series, since they use busybox.

I have not tried this, lets see if another user can share some tips or information on this matter.
Ideally this should be compilled by WD devs, not sure how to request such a thing…
If I had the time I could compile Transmission for the DL and EX NASs, create a application installation package and install it manually bypassing the WD Store.
Plex seems to do this. Updates are installed manually.
