Have a new My Passport 5T external drive. I received a message that there is an update to my WD Backup program. It will not update, only receive message “update failed”. Any ideas?
You could uninstall the older version and install the latest one from our Support website.

- when opening up the newer version, will I have to re-input any of my configurations…such as date and folder/files?
- is there a link to see what changes are in the new backup compared to the previous, and what version number is it.
- the concern here is that I’ve read where someone tried the new version and had to re-vert to the previous because he had trouble when he tried to use it. My old version works, so why would I want to change, unless there are some important new features
