Unable to rollback from 1.04.10_B

Since updating my Plus to 1.04.10_B I have the same problems with VOB files and high quality MKVs over LAN shares (stuttering) as reported in other threads.

I did the first steps to rollback the firmware as reported in

When I connected the external USB drive containing older .BIN, .VER and .FFF files to the WD TV Live Plus, the New Firmware Found icon came up as described. But in this moment I pressed accidentely the red power buttom on the remote and now the New Firmware Found icon don’t come up again and I am unable to finish the rollback process. I tried a lot of solutions. The unit didn’t brake but continues working normally with the newest firmware (1.04.10_B) and the problems mentioned avove. I also did a Overall and a Factory Reset, but without results.

Change the .ver file on the USB drive to something like “9.99.99” and see if it finds new firmware this time.

If you did not actually agree to the update and you did not see the progress bar then nothing has happened.

Remove the USB drive from your unit (eject), unplug from power for a while. Now check your drive because you may have corrupted the files. As a precaution delete the original firmware files on the disc and add new ones.Now reconnect the drive with the downgrade firmware and see what happens.

It was essential to unplug the USB drive from the power…
