Twonky update only via Firmware?

Can Twonky on a WD EX2 only be upgraded via a WD firmware update? In other words, to get Twonky 8.2 on my WD EX@, do I need to wait for a WD firmware update which includes Twonly 8.2?

Hi there

If there is an update on the media server on the device it will be done with a firmware update. I don’t know if this will be done in the future, but if it is done it should be with a firmware update.

Thanks. As I suspected.

I have things working well with the most recent Twonky installed on my laptop (which solves a couple of problems. Marginally better to have a firmware update, so I just wait patiently.
