My 8 year old MyBook MDL# WD8001032 was accidentally plugged into my laptop power cord and now will not be recognized by my computer. The light on the external hard drive blinks, but that is it. This hard drive has every file of mine for the last 8 years including all of my work files… PLEASE HELP!!!
If you are tech savy search the posts by fzabkar. He has guided people thru bypassing a burnt diode to make the drive useable again.
