Trouble using ext HD on mulitple PC's

I copied this post to show that I am having the very same problems and have done all that is suggested. Does anyone elsse have anything that they can help me with. Thank you all for your help.

PS: I have used almost exclusivly WD for all my HD needs. I am not an expert which means I know just enough to get myself into trouble LOL.

What is your problem exactly? Can you see the files but not use them or you cannot see them at all?
