Trouble setting password

Someone please help me! I’m pulling my hair out trying to figure out what I did wrong. I installed my WD 2TB Passport Ultra and when I got to the pop up window on the right side of the screen, I clicked on the gear(settings button) and it showed the set password option, and, while that was open I was thinking about a good password, then the window closed. When I reopen that window by clicking on the WD discovery icon, next to the My Passport option I click on the gear (settings) icon again and this time the only option is to eject, it won’t let me set password. What happened? Someone please help

WD Security allows password protection of external drives that support 256-bit AES hardware encryption from unauthorized use or access.
