Transmission & P2P app cant upload torrent files

Hi all,

having problems with the P2P and Transmission apps on the EX4 running the latest firmware (1.05.36). In both apps I dont seem to be able to upload torrent files:-

  • In the P2P app when I select a valid torrent file from my C:\ I get the message error 104.

  • If I try to upload a torrent file using the Transmisson app I can select the torrent file to upload but it does not appear in the ‘Transmission portal’.

I have traied this on may different torrent files, all of which work fine using uTorrent on the laptop. 

This is very annoying as one of the main reaosns I purchased the EX4 was for the P2P apps so I dont need to leave my laptop on all the time. Previously used QNAP products without such issues…

Any help appreciated - especially from WD itslef.

Hi there, have you tried resetting the drive? What happens if you try to add the torrent with the magnet link?

Seems to work if I copy the magnet link

Works by copying the magnet tab on both P2P and Transmission.  But its VERY VERY slow compared to running utorrent on my laptop.  On the same torrent I can get circa 4MByte/S on my latop and only 30KByte/S using transmission on the NAS.

P2P also seems to limit the URL to 192 characters which makes it useless…
