Time Machine fails

I need some help; i have made a time machine backup when i first bought my new macbook and wd drive but i cannot make any new backups keeps failing i have tried guest account it tries to connect and prepares backup and then backup fails. ‘Time machine couldnt back up to WDMycloud’

The backup disk image “/Volumes/TimeMachineBackup/XXXXXX MacBook Pro.sparsebundle” could not be accessed (error (null)).

ive also tried registered but it keeps stating my password is wrong…

what can i do to solve this;

it is worth me sacking off this mycloud and buying something better?

Are you able to access any of the shared folders on the drive?

yes i can access public files and also time machine on the WD drive but i cannot do any time machine updates, states preparing backup and then fails… ive even tried to delete the XXXXX macbook pro.sparsebundle
