Theme won't show up

Hey guys,

I’m on the latest firmware update and have been trying to put either the MOJO theme or Darklight theme on my HUB but neither will apply. I can see them and click apply theme but it just goes back to the default theme. I downloaded the anodized theme and it applied fine. Any ideas why the others will not apply?

You have put them in the Themes folder in thw .wdtv folder on the Hub ?

These themes dont really work on the new firmware, well the Darklight theme is not designed for it, nor is the Mojo ?

Either way it will always let you apply them, they need to be extracted and in the correct folder though.

They should be extracted/unzipped on your PC first and then copy that folder to the proper place on the Hub.

Did the whole extract on PC first…from what I’m told the those theme will not work with the latest firmware. I downloaded the anodized theme and am just running that for now.

No, apparently you misunderstood.  My themes will work with the latest firmware, there are several people using them with the latest.  The problem is that they were designed to work with the 2.07 FW and they will not display everything correctly (ie: thumbnails with transparency).

Yup, I’m running on FW 3.01.19 and MoJo. Made a few adjustments here and there and it’s OK. However, I would prefer that WD fix the FW for the .png issue so I could enjoy the FULL MoJo experience. (Hint, Hint)

Dang…I must have done something wrong then. I downloaded MOJO 1.12.01 and placed in the correct folder but when i hit apply theme it just goes back to the Mocchi theme.

Maybe if you explain exactly what you’ve done we can find out why you can’t get it to work.

Dowloaded the theme, extracted it on my PC, copied it over to ".wd_tv/theme folder. Then went to the appearance settings on the hub, selected the MOJO theme and hit apply theme. When I do that it goes back to the home screen and shows the default theme.

were all the theme files inside its own MOJO folder placed in “.wd_tv/theme”?

example:

.wd_tv\theme\Mojo\

Yeah, it sounds like your not copying the entire folder to the HUB.  Have you tryied looking inside the Mojo folder after you copied it over to the HUB.

I will go ahead and re-download everything and try again. Hopefully, that will solve the problem. Thanks for the help guys!

Hi

Sory I’m new to the forum from Italy. I have downloaded the Mojo theme and extracted to the PC, but my problem is that I don’t see any folder called ‘wd.theme’ in my Live TV hub to which to copy this. In fact, I don’t see anything except the subfolder USB sync which contains material from the attached USB drive.’ I run the latest firmware, but it was the same with the previous one.

Thanks

Maurizio

Select show hidden files in Windows.

Look for .wdtv folder on Hub drive. Inside that is themes.

How stupid of me! Didn’t think that the two things were connected. Thank you! It works.
