Technical Data?

At what URL can one find CPU type and frequency, amount of RAM?

You don’t get that detailed specs for My Cloud products unless you have one on hand. It’s mentioned under Featured tab of Mirror’s web page that it’s a 1.2 GHz processor with 512 MB RAM.

Some more limited info is available by clicking on the Specifications tab of the product page - http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=1200

If it uses the same chip as EX2, then it’s the following (I am not sure if it is the same chip):
Processor : Marvell PJ4Bv7 Processor rev 1 (v7l)
Hardware : Marvell Armada-370

Thank you !> 512M of RAM might be good, but a single core CPU??> Imho it is a shame that WD announces new products with so called “Technical data” that do not tell the relevant points.>   :confounded:

I agree it’s a low powered CPU but on the flip side I just compared 2-bay diskless NAS made by QNAP that I’ve seen some folks on these boards rave about…and the reality is their prices are double or more than that of WD’s.

I myself am willing to get a low powered, cheap NAS since it’s my first NAS…but down the road I might buy a more powerful, pricier one.
