Sync confused

I am still confused?
if i right click on a folder & ‘sync to cloud’ it starts the sync, to my cloud 'sync folder.
Its a lot of files.
If I close down the pc, does it restart when I boot up next?
if I right click again and 'sync to my cloud, its starts again with a folder with a (1) after it.
if sync is already setup, why would it start again?
If i click ‘unsync’ surly it should delete the file on the cloud?
Also, can I select a number of folder at once to sync?
