Has Western Digital dropped support for most of the apps on its media players? I have had the same media player for about 2 years now and enjoyed it up to now. Lately I have noticed the majority of the apps no longer work, except accept for You Tube lean back, Daily Motion, Accu Weather and a selected others none of the other apps work. Most will just shown a white screen, say the network is not available or just continuously show it is attempting to connect to the app. Hopefully this is just a temporary thing and dropping Netflix was a really dumb move on WD part.
Have you tried a factory reset and a static IP configuration? Which firmware revision do you use?
I have done numerous resets via the menu and reset button on the bottom of
the unit. I have tried static IPs to no avail. The firmware version is
2.02.32. Apps that worked yesterday do not work today.
It would be best to contact WD Support about this. You can do so over the phone or via E-mail.
