SSH Root Password lost

Hi,

I have update to firmware 2.2.9.3 on my 33 Sharespace 4To.

Results :

  • 3 is ok

  • 3, i have no more SSH access

  • 27, i can’t lg into root (bad password)

Have you solution to change/reinit the root password ?

I don’t want lost my data on my NAS, so i don’t want reset to factory because reset to factory erase all data

I would back up your data and do a factory restore. Any time you update the firmware this is ideal (I know it’s a ton of data most likely - however you should have a backup anyway so the only time lost would be copying it back to the sharespace) as it can alleviate a lot of problems. This applies to nearly any product by the way.
