Smartware initial backup not completing

I am trying to do the initial backup on my new 1TB Passport. It says there is 120 GB of data for backup but has only backed up 7.6 GB.  Message at the top says :-

“Partial backup accomplished. Remaining files will be added later. Click View Files for details”

Looking at “View Files” it gives the reason as “File pending backup” 

It has been in this state for 24 hours. I have updated to the latest version of Smartware (1.6.4) and updated the firmware.

Any ideas?

Be sure to close any program that might be using the files that smartware is trying to backup.

I have been having the same problem with the following message being displayed for as long as 48 hours before it finally completes a full backup:

“Partial backup accomplished. Remaining files will be added later.”

This is entirely too long, way too much time for my system to have to be powered up!

Can anybody help us???
