I have just reformatted my Passport device for Mac. I have downloaded WD Security and WD Utilities software. The work fine.I have also downloaded the SmartWare package. BUT it does not recognise My Passport, only my Mac Book Pro hard disk. Why?
What’s the model number of the passport that you are using?
Are you using the WD Smartware pro or the regular version?
I’m having the same issue. the Passport for Mac that I’m using has the following numbers on it (nothing clearly marked as a model #:
P/N: WDBZYL0020BSL-05.
S/N: [Deleted - Privacy]
3415B; R/N: D78; HDAKMA
I downloaded the regular version of WD Smartware. My Passport did not have it included, though it did have the other utilities and security software.
Any help you can offer would be much appreciated! I need restore some saved files, and can’t figure out how to access them without this software. If there is another way to access them, please share that info. Thanks so much!
