Shared Music Folder Back up

hi

Just bought the 2TB My Cloud and was using time machine to initiate 1st back up …as i understand this will take a long time. However, when I concurrently try to do the music folder backup, why it keeps hanging at Preparing for the last 2 hours??. any issues or should i terminate it?

Hello,

How big is the music share folder? depending on the size of the folder it migh take some time.

Are you still experiencing this situation?

hi it is at least about 100GB … and i have do it folder by folder…

its ok if i do it that way …

Can i also ask if Mobile device data can be backup to WD My cloud? I am using iphone and it seems icloud is the only place i can store data?
