Yesterday I noticed red light on my WD Cloud EX2 Ultra, worried what this meant, I logged into the WDcloud web platform and saw one of the hard drives was noted as ‘Unhealthy’.
As I still have over a year of warranty left I contacted Western Digital and went for the RMA via the support website.
On restarting the WD cloud, the WD cloud web platform said the hard drives were ‘healthy’.
I then immediately tried to cancel the RMA via an online chat support agent as the problem seemed to be fixed.
They said I would not be charged, I would be refunded, escalation of cancellation of the RMA return and email confirmation was sent.
However today I’ve been emailed the replacement NAS and drives have been sent and my bank card fully charged. Is there anyway this could still be stopped? I emailed as soon as I was emailed that it had been sent. I’ve yet to have a response from WD hence I am trying on here. Is there anything I can do or just send back the unopened WD RMA device hoping I’ll get my full refund? Seems a waste of postal service when I tried to cancel immediately.
Thanks.
