Reuse of a WD Cloud hard drive into a WDcloud EX2

Is there any reason that I could not remove the hard drive from a WDcloud and use it in my WDcloud EX2?  I have an empty bay in my EX2.  They both have 2TB drives.  

Any thing I should watch out for when I reformat it? 

I much prefer the utilities of the EX2 over the Mycloud.

Hello there, You should be able to use the drives of the My Cloud on a EX2, as they both use RED drives. However as you are opening the enclosure on the My Cloud you will void the warranty.
