I have a Mybook Live external hard drive. I have changed the password on it months ago and have forgot it. How do I reset it?

That appears to have worked however it did not reset my password. I can not get into it.
This is not working. I have used a paper clip and pushed in the reset button for 30 secs. Drive still does not seem to reset. Any other ideas?
Press and hold down the reset button for four seconds. The device reboots (this may take up to three minutes).
That does not work for me. Please explain further. I do not have access to my device
