Dear Community,
I deleted a user from my WD NAS. More than 200 Gb data belong for it. After I click on delete button on the users screen I turned off the NAS one minute later, so the big part of my files shoud be on the HDD, becasue deletion of 200Gb data is not possible under 1 minute. On the other hand I can see on the main screen that the used space is roughly the same.
The automatic recycle bin was off.
How can I see again my files on HDD?
Thank you for your answerd.
King regards,
Peter.
If you deleted the user account only, the data is still there. It is only if you deleted the share that the data would be deleted. Check the shares to see if the share for the user you deleted is still there. If the share was private to the user only, you need to change the permissions on the share to whomever you want to have access to the data in the share.
Sorry I correct… I deleted the share, not the user.
Sorry, if you deleted the share and did not have the recycle bin turned on for that share, then the data is gone. You can try data recovery but if you have been writing to the drive since you deleted the share, it will be nearly impossible to get the data back.
