I could really use some help here… I disconnected my book as i had to move the computer, now when I reconnect my book i get an error message saying it needs to be formatted… If I format, am I going to loose everything on the drive??

The best advice I could give would be to call WD tech support. They can get into your computer (with your permission) and check for what’s causing your problem.
