I have “My Book Essential Edition” wdbfjk0020hbk-04.
I have not used it for a few years, was before Win 10.
I would like to start using it with Acronis True Image to back up and clone in Win 10.
There are old files on it. Do I need to partition and reformat it?
If yes…how do i do that.

I suggest you study up on Acronis before you do anything with it.
There are directions in WD Community for partitioning disks. It is fairly simple.

I do not know what option to use to get this book ready for Win 10 data.
