RansomWare and RAID Failure

Dear community,

So I have kind of a big problem. Our My Cloud Mirror at the office has been locked. All files have been encrypted including some pretty essential ones which (of course) didn’t backup properly. We were actually thinking of just taking the loss and paying for decryption, which just makes life some what easier. Just to be sure we removed one of the two RAID 1 disks to be sure to have one working copy because not all of the files are encrypted.

Thinking we would put in another identical drive to start the rebuild something else happened. The WD now doesn’t recognize any RAID volume, and the only option we get is setting up a new one, which (as I recall) does clear all the files, which would be even a bigger problem. Also the shares aren’t available anymore.

What to do now? Any suggestions would be really appreciated!

Kind regards,
Johan
