Questions to solve

Hi everybody,

in june 2009 I’ve bought a WD TV HD (I think is the 1st generation of the product) to watch mkv files on a Sharp Aquos LCD TV 37" via HDMI cable.

Some of the mkv files are in DTS sound format (digital) so I can’t hear them.

Questions:

Do I have to buy an amplifier/receiver with DTS decoder to hear them when playing on TV?

What’s the best quality/price amplifier/receiver with DTS decoder? (price in euros would be great)

Thanks in advance

What I have done is hooked up my WD box through my receiver HDMI to my TV or projector depending upon where I am watching and I am using the optical connection into my receiver for audio and I have never had an issue with the audio portion no matter what type of file I am trying to watch.
