Hi My Cloud Home WD guru, need your advise transferring / copying my back up files in WD cloud to my laptop through wifi, since i can not do the copy and paste, drag and drop.

Do you have a My Cloud OR a My Cloud Home? They are not the same. A My Cloud Home has different operating system, features and options than a My Cloud device. If you have a My Cloud Home see the specific subforum for those devices where users more familiar with them may be able to assist.

If one has a My Cloud device then the standard method of copying files, when connected to the same local network, is to use Windows File Explorer or Mac Finder and access the My Cloud Share(s) where you can the copy files to and from those Shares. If one is connecting to a remote My Cloud then the official access options are to use the MyCloud.com web portal, the WD My Cloud app for Android/iOS, or insecure FTP access.
