Problem since upgrading to OS5. Can anyone help please?

Since upgrading my My Cloud 3TB drive to OS5 it doesn’t sleep and the hard drive and network are continuously running. The only way to stop it is to disconnect the network cable, but the hard drive still keeps doing something. Anyone else found this? How do I get it back to normal again? Thanks.

This subforumm is for OS3 firmware, for OS5 firmware see the dedicated subforum for your device in the OS5 subforums:

Also, use the forum search feature, magnifying glass icon upper right, to search for past discussions on the various OS5 issues. There are a number of past discussions on sleep and indexing issues in the OS5 subforums. Primarily it seems to be the very long indexing process that is causing problems for some.

Some have resorted to downgrading back to OS3 from OS5 because of the various issues some have had with OS5. Again, use the forum search feature to find the various discussions on attempting to downgrade (not supported by WD) in the OS5 subforums.
