Problem access Public files

Hello!

I´m using Macbook with Sierra OS X. I want open file public (Shared Music) but it says:

The folder “Shared Music” can’t be opened because you don’t have permission to see its contents

I´ve been to looking about this forum but solutions that it exist, not work :frowning:
I´ve tryied several things:
-Connect with SSH to connect with Filezilla to file Public but this doesn’t appeared.
-I´ve tryied connect with account user invited and admin.
-In config (wdcloud.local), permissions it´s good.

Do anybody knows how can I with Finder access to this file Public?

P.D: With app My Cloud WD if work, but I hate this app :frowning:

Thank you

Hi jesushdd ,

Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this.

Have you previously access a Private Share on the My Cloud using a user name/password created through the My Cloud Dashboard?

Have you checked the Mac Keychain app/section to see if it lists any entries for the My Cloud? If so try removing them, then test access again.

Thank you friend.

I´ve tryied to delete all with WD but it doesn´t work
I´ve found this:
Seagate Central NAS drive - No permissions on the public drive
But I put on ssh with same password that configuration but it say
**admin@wdjmycloud.local’s password: **
Permission denied, please try again.

I´ve tryied to reset WD My Cloud, but this it doesn´t work.
I think that fail it´s here, Not work any password, it says that it´s incorrect.

I´ve tryied to init root (terminal Mac OS X)
-Pass Config mycloud
-Pass root

All it says the same :frowning:

rabbit@localhost:~ root# ssh admin@wdjmycloud.local
**admin@wdjmycloud.local’s password: **
Permission denied, please try again.
**admin@wdjmycloud.local’s password: **
Permission denied, please try again.
admin@wdjmycloud.local’s password:

:persevere:

What are you trying to accomplish? Access the My Cloud using SSH?

If so you need to enable SSH (if you haven’t done so already) through the My Cloud Dashboard > Settings.

You may be asked to change the SSH password after first access. If so remember to write down the new password.

Hello!

Of course friend! I did this, first, I put my pass, the same that I have like admin. The problem is after this :frowning: Perhaps it´s problem of Mac?
I listen any idea please…

Thanks!

If all you want to do is access the file server, you don’t need SSH access. To map the device into Finder, see this:

Thank you friend,

I tried this that you can say me, but I don´t find files and I can´t to paste :frowning:

Any help please? Thanks!!

My Spanish (?) isn’t very good, and I don’t use a Mac, so I’m not familiar with what that sequence is showing. You seem to be connecting to ‘wdjmycloud’; is that ‘j’ part of the name you have given your device?

Also, what version of MacOS are you running? Have you installed the latest beta release, by any chance (it seems to have broken NAS access again)?

Thanks you!

No problem  Yes, I called it con “j”, it´s correct.
I´m running Sierra 10.12.4

Perhaps with High Sierra the problem will be solved? Like yet it´s beta… :joy:
