Please help, when I was transferring all of my photos onto the WD My passport ultra1TB terrible thing happened. All folders transferred from my hard drive to the WD, but there were no photos inside the folders, and the same happened to the hard drive, all folders remained, but all the photo’s disappeared. Only video files survived. I tried to recover the photos from the hard drive, but only a small percentage showed up. What might have happened? Can they be buried in the external hard drive? how to recover them? Thank you for your help, Danny

Just a few questions.
Did you trancfer everything at once(as one folder) or induvidually? Did you “Copy and Paste” or did you “Cut and Patse”. Is your passport full.
What may have happen is that you moved them to a different folder or it copied over some of the information and now the drive is full so it stopped the copying.
Hi Rich, I am sure I moved quite large files at once, but the passport ultra was almost empty at the time and my photos are maybe 50gb in size. The way I did it, and please let me know if this is an incorrect way of doing it, was right click on the file, copy and then paste onto the portable drive, or just dragged the file from the hard drive to the passport ultra. Well if you copied, then the file should still be on your pc’s drive, so the only thing is its been deleted or moved - check your “Recycle Bin”
