running windows vista. all files backed up from two drives on my pc, show up on passport L. drive. when I use wd smartware to try to retrieve files by clicking on the retrieve tab smartware program closes. I have rebooted and unpluged but no luck. I can copy a file from the passport and paste it back to my pc harddrive but cant retrieve all the files if i need an entire restore. any suggestions?

Are you able to see the backup and the retrieve bottom? If you click on backup anything happens?
The WD program closes when I click retrieve, whether I am using my passport or my Book. Using Vista. What is up with this?
