Retrieval Interrupted - help!

I bought my passport about a week ago, and backed up everything on my drive with no problems. File retrieval worked just fine for a while, but now I’m getting an error I can’t get past.

When trying to retrieve any file from the drive, an error message pops up saying: 

"An Interruption occured during file retrieval. Either because your system was restarted or your drive was disconnected.

After restarting your computer or reconnecting your drive, click the Retrive tab to restart file retrieval"

All of the files on the drive has a line crossing out the name as shown here:

Now, if I go into the folder on the drive through windows, I can easily copy-paste the files I need with no problems. Its just the Smart Ware that refuses to retrieve it.

And I have restarted my computer many times over, and reconnected the drive 20 times in all my different USB ports already.

Any suggestions?

I recommend that you uninstall WD Smartware and then reinstall Its latest Version.

Thanks that fixed it.

The files are still showing as having a line through them, but I figured out, that it was because I got a new hard drive.

So all the old backed up files shows as being in the C: directory, while the harddrive has changed to F: now. So I guess SmartWare is confused.

Is there a way to sort that without having to rebackup every file?
