Hi… I’m trying to update the firmware for my My Book Live to the latest. Issue is its asking me for the owners password which I cannot remember. to be honest I didn’t even know there was one… I just have the login password.
In any case, how can I reset this owners password?
When the drive is fully powered and booted up, press and hold the reset button on the back for about 4 or 5 seconds.
The drive will reboot.
The password will be reset, as will the network configuration. Your data won’t be affected.
