Hello,
I would like to know what option are available for sync with My Cloud OS 5?
Is GoodSync the only option available? I don’t like that it requires an annual subscription.
Are other softwares recommended? I am on macOS mainly
Best,
AF

@AustinForest GoodSync for WD installs with a 30 day trial license and transitions into Free Use when used with a My Cloud device. Just make sure to install the WD Version and Not the GoodSync Personal version. https://www.goodsync.com/download/GoodSync-v11-WD-Setup.exe
You could also use other 3rd party Sync options that do not partner with WD.
I installed the WD Version for Mac in April when WD Sync was abondend. After upgrading to OS 5 and purchasing a new Mac I re-installed Goodsync today on both the NAS ands my computer and it doesn’t work as my “trial period is over”. Could you please clarify that Goodsync for WD users is still free as advertised eralier this year? And could you please advise on how to fix the license issue?
Thanks
btw: @AustinForest was asking for Mac, you linked to an .exe download for Windows …
@totoff GoodSync for WD My Cloud App Version: 11.4.1.1 was released yesterday which should fix the license issue. Please check your NAS for the app version. When you click configure and login to GoodSync Server, you should see.
If you scroll down, you can active the WD License
And then you should see
@SBrown Thanks for your quick reply. Unfortunately that doesn’t work for me (see screenshot). What’s wrong?
@toto looks like a GoodSync Account/License issue.
You’ll need to contact GoodSync support
