Options for Cloud Backups

I might go for a My Cloud EX2 Ultra. It is relatively old but looks more capable than my My Cloud Home.

I see that there are two options for Cloud Backups: ElephantDrive and Amazon S3. Will there be other?

Specifically, is the S3 option working only with Amazon or are other S3 providers allowed?

@AustinForest Please check the following KBA article to compare the EX2 Ultra to the PR2100/PR4100 which may be more suitable depending on your processing power needs.

The cloud backup supported are Elephant Drive and Amazon S3. Other S3 providers deploy their own backup API to Amazon S3 and are not supported.

Can you tell whether other provider will be supported? There are a bunch of S3 providers so I guess the changes needed are not that difficult to implement?
