I have a couple of apps on my iPad that support MKV files. When i clip such files using WD 2Go pro, those apps are in the Open With action menu, but 95% of the time, when I do that action, nothing happens. I use Buzz Player HD and Azul, and can use those apps to play the same files via Samba or otherwise. Does anyone have any suggestions why this is so problematic with WD 2Go?
Ugh… After a few hours of additional Googling, it sounds like this is most likely a bug with all iOS 5 releases.
There’s reports of this in a number of places…; not just WD 2Go, but lots of other apps.
From what I’m reading, this affects “Open With…” when sending files between apps where the file size is larger than approx 300MB.
Bummer…
