I found an old wd external drive but it doesn’t have a model number visible. How can i figure it out so i can hook it to new pc. Our family dog passed and would like to retrieve his puppy pictures. I believe it is 10 years old approx.
My Book Essentials, 1.5TB.
Just plug it in and go. If the drive is OK, and the file system is intact, you should see it in Windows File Explorer or whichever OS you’re using.
