I purchased my unit about 7 years ago and no longer have the manual, there is no label or description of the type of drive on the actual drive. I lost my power cord about a year ago at work (it connected to the desktop fine) and recently replaced it and am now trying to connect it to a new laptop and it is not recognized. When I looked for a way to update the driver for my WD external hard drive the s/n is no longer available on the website. The one listed is [Deleted-Privacy] and the WD P/N is WD10000h1u-00.
If you can direct me to either a way to install a driver on my new laptop for the correct model that would be great. I have run the device manager and trouble shooter on the laptop and that does not appear to be the issue. Thank you!
